Nomination deadline extended
If you have not yet nominated in this year’s tourism awards, you now have until Friday 21 July.
VTIC’s Mike Hamilton has been on the road throughout June conducting 14 entrant workshops at award winning locations in every pocket of the state. At the workshops, entrants have been able to experience tourism and business excellence first-hand and hear how the awards can help shape the future of their own business.
Sian West who joined the judging panel in 2015 and is a Hall of Fame and National winner for their business Blue Moon Cottages, has provided entrants with a valuable tip at several of the workshops.
“Don’t think you’re entering the awards just to win, consider it as time dedicated to developing your business. The Awards program provides you with the framework to plan and set you up for success” Sian said.
While the purpose of entering remains unchanged, entrants will now answer questions online eliminating the formatting rules, page limits and page layouts that was required in previous years.
The workshop filmed at Sovereign Hill in June will be available here (coming soon) for those who were unable to attend one of the regional sessions.
