Name: Martin Szakal

Role: Deputy Chair of Judges


Martin will be judging his sixth year for the RACV Victorian Tourism Awards and his second year as Judge for the Australian Tourism Awards. His experience also includes judging for three years at the Macedon Ranges Business Excellence Awards, the Campaspe Murray Business Awards and as a Judge for the Melbourne Wine Show for three years.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Strategic Communication and Community Development Majors. He also holds qualifications in Viticulture, Travel Agency Practises and Business Management. He is also a proud graduate of the Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program and La Trobe University’s Infinity Leadership Program. He is also a member of the International Golden Key Academic Society, Australian Marketing Institute and the Public Relations Institute of Australia among others and is active on many regional committees.

His company CPRMA Group performs research and analysis that delivers strategic insights across various disciplines including consumer behaviour, marketing, economic development and community engagement matters across a range of sectors (including tourism) within the SME, corporate and government areas.

Essentially his business is focused on building and maintaining the value and reputation of organisations and communities.

He is also a director with the Best Exchange Group focused on building regional tourism including developing in-bound delegations from Asia, whilst also hosting numerous professional out-bound cultural exchange/professional development delegations.

Martin is very much looking forward to meeting this year’s entrants and is again excited to perform site visits across some of Victoria’s best tourism businesses.
