Good luck to the Victorian Finalists
2016 QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards, Darwin – 24 February 2017
In less than a a month, the country’s ‘best of the best’ tourism and event operators will be unveiled at the 2016 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. More than 50 Victorians will travel to Darwin and compete in their respective categories to be recognised for their outstanding achievements.
“Each year we celebrate the commitment and achievements of tourism and hospitality businesses from all states and territories. It is they who lead the industry in creating outstanding products and services for visitors, generating growth and jobs in an industry that contributes so much to our economy,” Australian Tourism Awards Chairman, Daniel Gschwind said.
Winners of categories 1 through to 25 of the RACV Victorian Tourism Awards automatically progress for judging at a national level at the annual Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. Category and criteria is set by Australian Tourism Industry Council (ATIC) for all States and Territories.
The Gala Ceremony in Darwin is expected to draw together around 600 tourism representatives from across the country along with Federal and State Tourism Ministers, CEOs of State and Regional tourism bodies and tourism industry leaders.The host location for this event rotates throughout the states and territories of Australia with the 2018 host city to be announced at the Darwin Gala Ceremony.
