2018 Tourism Awards officially launched
Entry is now open!
Felicia Mariani, Victoria Tourism Industry Council’s Chief Executive officially announced entry is open for the 2018 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards at the recent 2018 VTIC Visitor Economy Forum held in late February.
“For over 30 years, the Tourism Awards have showcased and recognised our state’s leaders in tourism excellence.
“And the Awards are not only about recognition, but the process (along with the Australian Tourism Accreditation Program – ATAP) encourages businesses to meet and strive to exceed industry standards,” Ms Mariani said.
Victorian businesses are now encouraged to nominate via the Entry Portal and get underway with preparing responses to the questions in one (or more) of the 30 categories. Nomination must be made by 30 June 2018 with Entry submitted by 4pm Monday 13 August 2018.
Entrants who participated in 2017, are encouraged to review the judges feedback which is available through the account they used to submit their entry last year. Access to their previous entry will also be located here for reference and is where a nomination can be made for 2018.
New entrants in 2018 will need to create an account to nominate and complete their entry, or alternatively, if ATAP accredited, then the user account for this program will also provide access.
There has been minimal changes made to the categories and criteria. Entrants are advised to read the Rules of Entry to ensure they are eligible for entry and comply with the program set out by the Australian Tourism Industry Council for all states and territories.
Victoria is known for delivering high quality, memorable visitor experiences, and it’s VTIC’s intention to encourage and support all entrants to ensure that they give themselves the best opportunity to succeed and to shine.
The RACV Victorian Tourism Awards are not only about propelling Victoria’s tourism products and services, but also about strengthening and deepening relationships within the industry.
