Melbourne Fringe is Victoria’s leading organisation for the independent arts, giving emerging and experienced artists the opportunity to develop and present audacious new works to a large committed audience. The organisation manages the annual open-access Melbourne Fringe Festival, the largest multi-arts festival in Victoria. In 2010, Melbourne Fringe presented the works of over 4,000 artists to over 450,000 people, with events running from dusk til dawn in over 100 venues across Victoria. The Festival includes the Made By Melbourne Fringe program – projects that explore new mediums, engage communities and bring emerging and experienced artists together to create inspiring, sophisticated work.
