Events Promotions Co-ordinator, Warrnambool City Council / Sales Marketing Manager, Fun4Kids Festival

Rebecca has had a life-long involvement in the hospitality and tourism industry with her family owning and operating hotels in Victoria and South Australia for the past 45 years.

After launching her career as a HR manager with Target Australia, travel to Europe in the late 1990s saw a move into the travel and tourism industry. During this time Rebecca spent 8 years working in the United Kingdom, Europe and Africa as overseas operations manager with leading British tour operators. After a moving back to Australia, Rebecca worked as a tour guide with Australia's award-winning luxury wilderness camp, Longitude 131.

In 2006 Rebecca commenced a role as corporate training officer with Warrnambool City Council. Shortly after she joined the Events and Promotion team to co-ordinate a range of events and promotional projects including the multi-award winning Fun4Kids Festival.

As the sales and marketing manager for the Fun4Kids Festival, Rebecca has been responsible for the successful restructure of ticketing systems, supervision of ticketing and venue management teams and has shared her event management experience through sessional teaching of 100s of tourism and marketing students at South West TAFE.

Rebecca has been a member of the team responsible for developing award winning submissions for the Victorian Tourism Awards, and the winning Australian Tourism awards submissions, including Hall of Fame Awards at both a state and national level.
