Martin Szakal is currently studying for a Business degree to enhance his import/export and beverage brand development business Entwined Enterprises Australia.

Having worked in the wine, hospitality and retail industries for just under twenty years, Martin is also qualified in Travel Agency Practices, small business management, Viticulture and is a graduate of the Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program.

His experience with wine, including three years as associate judge at the Melbourne Wine Show, was drawn upon while assisting the Tourism Victoria Awards team in selecting wines for the 2009 Awards Gala Ceremony.  The major sponsor was Hanging Rock Winery where Martin worked as Manager Direct Marketing, focusing on aligning and promoting Hanging Rock Winery as a Brand Partner in Tourism Victoria’s “Lead a Double Life” campaign for the Daylesford and Macedon Ranges region.

In addition Martin represented the winery on a sub-committee to develop and deliver events for the Macedon Ranges Vigneron’s Association including The Night Sparkles and Picnic at Hanging Rock. His passion for Victorian wines and fly fishing alike sees him explore these to every corner of the state.
