Anthony is a self employed consultant and advisor working with Victoria’s tourism, events, sports and outdoor recreation industries. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science, Diploma in Human Resources, Master of Tourism, Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and a couple of letters of recommendation confirming his talents as a jackaroo!
Having kicked off his working career in the retail, banking and telecommunications sectors, he concluded a nine year stint as a Human Resources Generalist in 2004, saw the light and embarked on a career in tourism. At this point, he undertook a succession of tourism services roles inclusive of working on Melbourne’s Commonwealth Games effort, and overseeing the operations of the City’s seven visitor information programs, such as the Melbourne Visitor Centre and Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle.
In 2007, Anthony took up the role of Chief Executive Officer at Tourism Alliance Victoria (TAV). During his tenure, he oversaw the consolidation of TAV with the Victoria Tourism Industry Council to provide Victorian tourism with one representative voice.
Anthony is a current Board member of Daylesford Macedon Ranges Tourism, Chair of the Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism Board Implementation Committee, and is highly active in a range of community sporting activities. Anthony is the current Deputy Chair of Judges, and 2011 is his fourth year as a judge at State and National levels.
