Heading into its 30th year, St Kilda Festival is Australia’s premier outdoor street festival utilising St Kilda’s stunning foreshore and celebrating the cream of Australia’s musical talents. A nine day event, the Festival kicks off with Yalukit Wilam Ngargee: People Place Gathering an outdoor Indigenous event celebrating Indigenous culture and welcoming everyone to St Kilda for the week ahead. Live N Local then runs for seven days showcasing St Kilda’s talents: its artists, restaurants, galleries, bars and much more. Then comes Festival Sunday, a unique street celebration with free live music, extreme sports, dance, children’s activities and enthusiastic, excited crowds.
