Melbourne Central YHA is a new youth hostel on the west end of Flinders Street. The hostel opened in May, following extensive renovations to an 80-year-old building, the former Markillie’s Hotel. Melbourne Central YHA caters for today’s savvy backpackers with high speed internet and WiFi throughout, compact kitchens and lounges, a spectacular rooftop deck and eclectic bar, Bertha Brown.
