This years RACV Victorian Tourism Awards (VTA) program celebrates 30 years of the tourism awards program.

Below is a listing of Important Dates and Workshop Schedule for this year, please book quickly for the workshops.  Workshops commenced on 26 February and there are only a few dates left. 

NEW DATE - the 2014 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards (VTA) Gala Ceremony will now be held on Monday 27 October 2014 at MCEC.

Mentor program available - March to late July
Project Managers available - March to late July
NEW DATE - Business Submissions due - 4 August
Site Visits completed between - 9 August and 8 September
Individual Submissions due - 25 August

There will be Project Managers (Mentors) available in most regions this year to work one-on-one with first time entrants, therefore please contact your Regional Tourism office to discuss further.  Some details available on under the 'Support' section.

Premier's Sustainability Awards

This year we are also working closely with Sustainability Victoria regarding the Premier's Sustainability Awards.  Last year they introduced a 'Tourism' category, see description below. 

Tourism - Excellence in sustainable tourism which contributes to the understanding, appreciation, and conservation of Victoria’s natural landscapes, ecology and local cultural heritage and/or provides tourism services through sustainable and efficient practices

Go to Account Log In and put in your email and password, the one you created when you nominated for the VTA program last year. You will then see a green box "View Comments" for judges feedback, just click on the button.

Qantas Australian Tourism Awards Gala - congratulations to Victoria's placegetters

Congratulations to Victoria’s tourism operators for being recognised at the 29th Qantas Australian Tourism Awards held in Sydney at Luna Park on Friday 7 February. This year there were three levels of recognition.

Congratulations to all our winners and finalists at the RACV Victorian Tourism Awards Gala on Monday 11 November, which was held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), a great night was had by all.
